Went out for some drift fishing on my buddies boat, kings and dolphin were nowhere to be seen. I hooked and landed 3 good sized bonita, 15-20# range, pound for pound I rank them right up there with the great ocean fighters.

In the inlet, 5mph limit, I trolled a sppon and got slammed by a cuda maybe 30# right in front of the marina, all in all it was good.

It was 116 degrees here Monday, 117  , yesterday and 112 today. My partner and I are going overnight fishing on my boat tomorrow through Friday. Fishing the Agua fria River arm north of Lake Pleasant for largemouth, stripers,and channel and flathead cats.     Happy fishing.

Had A Tennis Tournament from 7 to 6 played for 9 hours it reached 115 =/  fished from 730 to bout midnight lowest it got was 91 right before sunset 86 after =/ got to love the summer ill take it over cold weather anyday

The only thing I like about summer fishing is that the fish are out there.  The no seeums and high humidity have not been reel comfortable.

I prefer winter with high surf and strong winds, but way fewer fish out there.

I thought that it might get hotter then that in Florida. Over here in Sacramento, California its already been 104-105 Degree's for the past week, & thats a cool summer here. Last year we hit 110 Degree's for about 2 weeks straight before it went back down to the low 100's. (102-104) It was horrible, @ the same time (110 degree's) we had 4 major wild fires throughout the state, which smoked up the sky cause of the winds coming through the valley.      

But at that I shouldn't be complaining about the heat, I hear them people in Arizona have it way worse. 117 Degree's, I would be taking ice baths.

My brother (Navy) & wifeys brother (National Guard) came back from Iraq not to lang ago, both around the same time. They were telling me stories about the summer's there. Said the hottest day there was 156 Degree's, & that they called days like that "Black Flag Days," where it was mandatory not to go outside.

I guess none of us can complain, what they had to go through over there is way more extreme then anything we'll ever get here.

It isn't the temperature but the humidity and the intensity of the sun, we're a bit closer to the equator and I definitely notice the difference.

I've played golf in Palm Springs in 100+ heat and it really wasn't bad at all, 15%-20 % humidity.

Btw the highest recorded temperature is in Libya at 136 degrees. Not saying 156 didn't happen in Iraq ,but I see no record of anything close to that so it may have been a wee bit of stretch.

140 degrees?  How can a human being even be alive in that heat?  From what I have seen, air conditioning is not the prevalent there.
