The tarpon were rolling in abundance and no one was getting a hit, I had an xrap on another was using a fly rod, so I decided to try old method, a drop fly rig.  About 18" above my xrap I ran a 12" leader with a fly resembling a glass minnow, within 15 minutes I had landed one and got 3 other hits, everyone else still had nothing.

I was talking to the flyman and said I bet this works great for lmb, he agreed based on his own experience.

When I got home changed rods, but on a smaller lure and used the same fly.......bingo, it does work well for lmb.

Works great on trout..... Dry fly on top and a weighted nymph on the dropper.
