using my mojo rod for walleyes

Featured Replies

I was wondering if any of you guys thought there would be a problem using a 7' foot mojo tube and grub spinning rod for walleye jigging.

OMG NO!!!!!!!!!!!! You CAN NOT use a rod made for bass fishing for walleye, I doubt you'll even get bit. ::)

Really though, a 7' M spinning rod is a pretty good GP walleye rod. Spool up with some 8lb fluorocarbon, and go at it.

It's a little stiff, but you'll do fine.  You'll miss a few more strike than you would with a softer tip though.

That should work. I like braid for jigging, if i'm in any type of cover. In your case, if your useing a spinning reel with that spinning rod, then certainly braid.
