crappie location

Featured Replies

Is it just me or does anyone else find it hard to locate crappie when not in spring season?  They just disappear or something when Spring is gone.

they love cooler water so they go deeper in the summer when the temps heat up. as the temps start to cool off in the fall can also be a good time for crappie...

i have good luck around sunken tree's and moving water last year in august (south ga 100 degrees) i was fishing off a spill  way and caught 115 large crappie in an hour. This is in a private pond also.
