Offshore action

Went offshore with 3 of my friends, dead calm and no drift, took awhile to find some current but when we did, WOW!

It was the day of the bonita, biggest all of us had ever seen, we had 3 or 4 on the line many times.  Almost every time we hooked one there was a pack of bullsharks cutting us off......big guys it was a little scary as we were only in a sea fox 24'.  Several times we had to run them down as 27# of drag could not stop them.  All in all we landed about  25 and cut off more times than I can count.

Yep, there are allot of Bonies out there right now, and yes those sharks are not all bad.  There are allot of Cobia hanging around with those shark pods.  I have got 3 nice fish in last couple of trips.

Great Bonita.  Awesome fighting fish.  Although they're aren't the best table fare, it's not a bad eating fish if you bleed them right away.  Sounds like you had a great day, outside of dealing with the Bulls.

Soak them in milk...........One of my fishing mates makes a stew from them.
