I took my boys to pond about 2 hours from my house for some fun. There is not anywhere closer to catch fish like this. 4 hours of fishing, and around 100 fish caught. We got yellow perch, bluegill, sunfish ( what we called them where I grew up), and LM bass. My youngest put his rod down after awhile saying he was tired of catching fish .

Is it just me, or does that first little bass look REALLY, REALLY fat? I still enjoy hitting a pond with a UL and live bait.

The first picture, but the more I look at it, the more it looks like a LM colored sunfish...  :-?

I think you are more correct with your second response. 

The first picture is a yellow perch and a bluegill.
