It's raining fish

The beach has been pretty good as of late but you still need to find the hot one, not all beaches are hot at the same time. Even though the mullet run has not started in my part of Florida there is a lot of white bait.  I've been catching snook, tarpon, jacks & ladyfish, some macs have been reported.

Winds have been easterly around 20mph on the beach with a 2-4 ft surf NE swell creating an excellent trough.  Spoons and bucktails rule these conditions and the best way to fish them is not to burn them in, but a slowish retrieve letting the waves bounce the lures around.  My strike to cast ratio dramatically increased using this technique.

I got a nice Snook, and a bunch of Ladys at juno the other day.  Once these swells lay down it should be very good fishin on beaches.

No question about it Juno is way better fishing than the Boynton area, I was up there last week and caught a few near the pier, not till after sunrise.  Then drove up to the Jupiter inlet, it was quiet for the most part but I was jigging for them right next to the rocks and did pretty good, at my age I don't standing on those rocks anymore.

Yesterday was not nearly as good as it has been, tide is everything, later in the cycle usually means less bait and less fish and yesterday was no exception to that rule, the trough was less defined and surf was only about 2-3' and very windy.........I love the wind !

Still managed some fish but they ran small yesterday.
