Tarpon, that time of year

Tarpon have been pretty hot as of late and decent size too.  Hooked 2 yesterday, landed the first and had a great battle with the second, unfortunately one of the o rings was pulled out from the lure so on about the 5 or 6 jump I lost it, but the battle is what counts, these fish get released anyway.

I been seein them but not catching them.....yet. Whats your hot bait? Do they get picky about what they will hit?

I have seen them busting bait in the intracosal early morning but no hits, did manage a big snook.  Many times when they are busting bait it is harder not easier to catch them.  Just keep throwing xraps, windcheaters, soft plastics and jigs, it will happen.  Getting the strike is only the first hurdle, it's keeping them on once they jump.  This is one formidable fish to catch.
