I'm going to start striped bass fishing this fall and winter was wondering if anyone could give some lure tips and how to fish them.please

Here in ny and ct we get them in the rivers on flukes and sluggos. In the salt water poppers and larger jerkbaits, like bomber A Salt work well.

Anything that looks like shad. Whites and silvers are good choices. 4" Storm Wild Eye Swim Shad, Silver spoons, White chenille jigs, Silver Zera Spooks. Try things along those lines.
