Bass-Oreno

Featured Replies

If you have not tried this lure, I would recomend you do!

This lure is great for almost ALL species of fish, Today I caught a 32 1/2" Pike and have caught some bass on them, smallest being a 10". They are heavy, so there are long casts, but dont take much to reel in.

Its a really nice lure.

Been fishing them alot of years.  And I agree, they are a good bait used as a jerk bait or steady retrieve.

What color do you prefer??

Where do I buy them?

I'm not even sure Nitro. Mine are old. 25-30 yrs. The 2 that I fish most, when I do fish them are perch and frog. I also have a white one with a red hood. Would like a black one, but can't find and don't want to ruin any of these.

Found them at Cabels's.  Much shorter than the ones I have.  2 lengths, longest being 2 3/4".  The ones I throw are 4"

My father used to use them before I started going to school. He used a metal casting rod, a direct drive casting reel, and black braided line. The colors he had were white with a red head and green frog. I am 65 years old now.

Yeah, when I looked at them at Cabela's a few minutes ago the description said they have been around for more than 80 yrs.

Try this link:

They have 3 sizes, 3/8, 1/2 and 5/8 ounce. The webpage says nothing about length.

I think you can get them at Gander Mountain or Sportsmans Warehouse. I cant remember. Next time I am at one, I'll check for you guys.

I caught my 32 1/2" Pike (sorry I keep mentioning it, but I am really proud of myself) on firetiger, the longer ones.
