This should be fun...

Featured Replies

I just saw the weather for this weekend here in South Florida. Looks like Saturday, the day I'm fishing a BFL tournament on the Harris Chain, it's going to drop into the thirties!!! >:( This should be an interesting day on the water. Wish me luck I'm gonna need it!

Especially in the late winter/spring,whenever you have a tournament,a cold front will come in and you can bet on it! I always prepare for a spring tournament as if I'm going to be fishing a cold front, even if the weather says otherwise. If the weather ends up stable, its easier to get back in the groove of normalcy than it is to be caught unprepared for a front.

Two things you can bet on when tournament fishing

#1 a front will blow through the day before a tournament

#2 50% of all you honey holes will dry up the very second the put you money down

UP HERE IN MICHIGAN...THAT IS OH SO TRUE....LOL ::)

Ribbit...I feel your pain! Its been tough enough just getting the wetaher to stabilize long enough for the fish to make up their minds on the spawn. This front just threw a huge damper in my weekend. Im thinking the International Boat Show in Miami is better served than throwing my entry fee into a pot where the luckiest guy gets it.

It actually wasn't that bad. It was cold but the fish were still there. Alot of guys didn't figure them out but we found a few that didn't mind the cold. They were tough though and you had to fish super slow. the senko was my best friend!!!
