Who fishes the BFL

Featured Replies

I am wondering how many guys on here fish the BFL? I a considering fishing it next year as a coangler just wondering what you guys opinions on it are

I fished the Empire Division last year as a co-angler and I thought it was a pretty good experience. If you have never fished on a circuit that gets a lot of boats like that, you shouldn't hesitate because you can learn a lot and have fun doing it.

You could also look at the BASS Weekend Series, which I believe is being run by the ABA this year. I fished one of them the first year they developed that series, but I wasn't as nearly impressed by BASS as I was FLW/BFL.

However, that was a couple of years ago, and being that BASS is an outstanding organization, I am sure that they have stepped it up.

I would say fish either and you can't go wrong.

Oh yeah..... Good luck if you do!!!  ;D

I enjoyed my 2 yrs on the Michigan Div.  Did really crappy my first yr, but ended up 14th last year.  Is always a great way to learn how others fish.  Which helped my team tournament partner and I do better in our regular team trail.

We ended up 21st out of 250 teams that were listed.  We have over 1000 teams to compete against.  So, will it help improve the way you fish?  Darn tooten it will.

This is my 2nd year in the LBL division. I have had a lot of fun .... cashed a few checks .... and learned a ton. I will continue to participate .... may switch to a boater next year.

Get involved .... you won't regret it.

This is my first year fishing tournaments.  I fish the BFL Dixie in Alabama.  I have enjoyed there tournaments and it is always a good time.  I have made a few friends and learned a lot.  I also fish with the ABA and the BASS Weekend Series.  The BFL is fun, professional, very laid-back to be so many competitive people.  It is all fun to me and am looking forward to fishing them all again as a boater next season, especially the BFL.
