  1. Oh yeah. Hills Creek is another good one. That is between Mansfield and Wellsboro. It is electric motor only, if I remember correctly.
  2. Give Tioga-Hammonds reservoir(s) and Cowanesque Lake a shot... The first two are kind of connected, but they have some fish. Cowanesque is a little to the north of the others, just below the NY state line. I haven't been there in about 5 years, but I always did really well in all 3.
  3. I bought a St. Croix Legend from BPS the end of January, then didn't use it until last weekend. I didn't like it, so I took it back and they returned it no questions asked and without the receipt. Actually, I ended up swapping it for a Cumara... So to answer your question, they will probably return/exchange it for you.
  4. Megastrike scent - I'm not much of a scent guy, so I really couldn't tell you. Cavitron - By far the best buzzbait that I have ever tossed. Evolution - Have a couple, but I am not very fond of them. If you buy all 3, you might like 'em or hate 'em, but one thing is for sure.... The bait monkey will love them.
  5. I second Marv. Cranks too. I prefer LC's and Rapala DT's in chartreuse and bright reds (i.e. texas craw)
  6. I figured the accuracy would suck if it was set up with only 1 antenna.... That's why I was asking. Thanks for the help Bud. I am going to talk to my dealership and tell them exactly what I am looking for in terms of hooking the stuff up. If I have any more questions I will just PM you with them. Thanks! ;D
  7. Bud.... I was told that hooking up 2 units only allows you to use one gps antenna. If that is the case, where do you have it placed? Close to the console unit or that unit's transducer? Or up at the bow?
  8. I'm playing with the idea of picking up a humminbird 997c SI and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. If so, what do you think about them? My other question... If you had one on your rig, would you want it on the console or the bow? Why? Thanks, in advance, for any input.
  9. My uncle and I used to fish there back in the day, when he lived in Crisfield, but it's been so long that I don't remember much about it.
  10. There is a goup of us coming from Pittsburgh on Saturday. Ever been there before? Is it any good?
  11. Tackle Warehouse's website has some sweet lids......
  12. I fished the Empire Division last year as a co-angler and I thought it was a pretty good experience. If you have never fished on a circuit that gets a lot of boats like that, you shouldn't hesitate because you can learn a lot and have fun doing it. You could also look at the BASS Weekend Series, which I believe is being run by the ABA this year. I fished one of them the first year they developed that series, but I wasn't as nearly impressed by BASS as I was FLW/BFL. However, that was a couple of years ago, and being that BASS is an outstanding organization, I am sure that they have stepped it up. I would say fish either and you can't go wrong. Oh yeah..... Good luck if you do!!! ;D
  13. I had one on my old boat, and I loved it, especially the flat foot pedal. When I bought my new boat I replaced a Motor Guide with another Power Drive. That MK was junk, so I raized hell with Cabela's and they gave me a new one. The second one worked great, but I got tired of bending over to pick it up out of the water. Another thing with the AutoPilot is that it can actually be calibrated. I never went throught the frustrations, but a local guy told me it could be done to keep it from over-compensating when it is being used. Just a couple weeks ago I had a Maxxum Pro put on, and I am in love with it. Don't think I will be going back to the PowerDrive, but I love MK and have already junked two Motor Guides. Unfortunately, trolling motors are my fishing pet peeve.
  14. I ordered two Mattlures yesterday... 1 male bluegill and 1 crappie. I'm from PA and I think some of our larger northern strains will eat them, so I don't see why they wouldn't work on your monsters in FL...
