Anyone ever heard of Cabela XML brand rods?
Ahh, ok I see that post now. Just wondering if they are really good. I put 3 "in my cart" and they want $40 shipping. Gosh. So, you guys are happy with these rods?

Anyone ever heard of Cabela XML brand rods?
I'm a die hard bass guy. I want to replace my 3 Berkley Lightening rod with something better. Some options under $100 are: Berkley Shock series, Rick Clunn Bass Pro series, and Team All Star. I also ran across this one on clearance at Cabela's, (Reg. $139 on clearance for $29, model C66WJ). http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp;jsessionid=Z3IBFWX5FVM2JLAQBBJSCNVMCAEFIIWE?id=0053033122637a&navCount=0&podId=0053033&parentId=cat21428&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=cat21406_feat&catalogCode=9IS&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat21428&hasJS=true&_requestid=66322 I need 2 MH (worm rods) and 1 M (crankbait) rod. Your help is appreciated!

Fluorocarbon line for weightless baits?
I recently spooled up one of my Shimano Curados with 14lb. BP Fluorocarbon. My intentions were to use this line for crankbaits and spinnerbaits. My question is whether or not this line will perform well with weightless flukes and other baits, like senkos? My other Shimanos all have braid on them, and sometimes, the fluke doesn't sink very well. It stays about 1' or less. I'd like it to average about 3'. Thanks.

Fishing trips, gas, and you
There's 2 or 3 good places to fish within 35 miles, which isn't too bad. What I'm concerned about is I have 2 sons (ages 8 and 11). I want to take them tubing and swimming. The nearest lake for such activities would be about 125 miles (round trip) + gas for the boat to pull the tube up and down the lake. It's just REDICULOUS when it costs $100 for gas, just to take your kids to the lake to ride a tube.

Newbie here - Where do I buy lure molds and supplies?
Yeow! $160 for a Senko mold? That's a little steep. Certainly, I would want the 10 cavity (who wants to just pour 2 worms?). Gosh, $160 is a bit much. Anyone know of other options for molds that are "just as good"? Also, how many 5" senkos will a gallon of plastic make? Thanks! http://www.del-mart.com/shop/product.php?productid=16852&cat=306&page=1

Newbie here - Where do I buy lure molds and supplies?
I own a candle shop and have lots of candle molds. Well, it just hit me, I can buy lure molds and pour those as well! I know everything about candlemaking, but nothing about lure making. Please help. I want to pour my own Senkos, Creature baits, and maybe Brush Hogs. I want to use the best ingredients for good, soft baits. I may even bag'em up and sell them, just like my candles. Where do I start? Who sells molds, plastic, dyes, glitter, etc? Thanks!!!

What frog has the highest hookup ratio?
Scum frog. Simply awesome. And I see many people here agree with that answer. If you don't fish a Scum frog, you're missin' out.

Crawfish - when to NOT use them?
That does make me feel better. No cold water here. Water temp was 73 and I saw fish moving, and turning all over the lake. Could have been carp, buffalo, etc. Just ticks you off, to work all day 8 to 5, anticipating your afternoon fishing trip, then run to the lake for 2 hours, and not get a bite. But like you said, everyone gets skunked sometimes.

Crawfish - when to NOT use them?
I appreciate everyone's answers here. Like someone mentioned "we try to out-think a bass so much, we end up out-thinking ourselves!" But, if I back off of trying to out think them, and tell myself "they are only creatures, they only know to react, they can't actually think about things.... well, that means, they (are dumb) and should bite my lure right now! But that isn't happening either. So I start "out thinking" myself again. Like yesterday, I fished for 2 hours after work (5:30-dark). We've had a lot of rain lately in MS. So the water had risen about a foot or so and was bad muddy. For the most part, I pitched a triple rattleback jig with a rage tail craw, about 80% of the afternoon. Lost of sound and vibration. Not one bite. I also tried a chatterbait, nothing. What gives in this kind of situation?

Crawfish - when to NOT use them?
I love my 7' flippin' rod and using a jig with craw trailer. I also enjoy a t-rig craw. Is there a season where these two baits should not be used? Or is craw baits good for year-round? (I logged on again and added this question:) The deepest water that I fish is about 10'. Do crawfish naturally go 10'? You know we talk about "always do what is natural". Well, I'm not sure if bass feed on crawfish in 10' of water.

Need some help with jig trailers
Wow! I got a lot of feedback and I greatly appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to help me. After much thought, I decided on the Rage Tail, Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw, and Berkley Chigger Craw. I think that's plenty for now. Gosh, it doesn't take long to spend a lot of money, just on a few packs of plastic! Thanks again to each of you.
