Hibdon Wins

Featured Replies

How cool is that!!!!

Ole Guido (a country boy named Guido???) shows the yougins how it's done.

Seriously, I was really happy for him.  Even though the win put him the "million dollar club" He very sincerely convinced me that he "did it for me"  just to show himself and the bass fishing world that the old boy still had some fight in him.

He's an inspiration to all of elder statesmen of the sport.

Git er done son>>>>>YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Yep, good win for ol Guido....and he's not in the Million Dollar Club by accident. Met him at the local Ranger dealership a few years back, him and Dion. Both were real nice fellas. They talked quite a few people into new Rangers that weekend. I was almost one of them, til the ol lady showed up!  ;)

fivebass you're right about them being good guys.

I talked to them both at the classic this year. Both made you feel at home.

He's always been a inspiration!  He inspired me to "finesse" long before it was cool to do so.  He has definitely been an asset to this sport!!  Good to hear it!

You ought to hear Guido and Dion as they "hold court" outside at the meetings for any of the FLW's they enter.  What a hoot! And if you ever get a chance to fish the Highway 5 tournament at Lake of the Ozarks in October, Guido is the emcee.  You just wouldn't believe the good natured, but rankerous comments that fella gives. I think the crowd just comes to hear him.

That is great. The ol man is one of my favorite pro's. I have had the opportunity to talk to him and Dion several times and I always go away with a few more tricks up my sleeve.

Congrats Guido!

He and his son live on LOZ.  Back in the day, there were some unique tricks to catching fish down there when things were tough. Many were attributed to him.
