First, it was LSU winning the BCS title.

Next, Tennessee defeated #1 Memphis in basketball.

And now....

GREENVILLE, S.C. Judy Wong, the veteran angler and grandmother from Many, Louisiana, put the town near Toledo Bend on the world stage Saturday when she took home the Women's Bassmaster World title.

Wong caught five bass weighing six pounds, five ounces on Saturday's final day to edge last year's women's champion Pam Martin-Wells by six ounces, 26-10 to 26-4.

The South is on a roll!

I'm not real sure how tenn beating memphis was a big win for the south  :-/

Hey Tin,

Alton Jones is from Waco, Texas.

Way down SOUTH!

Now to see who is going to win the NASCAR race this afternoon after the rain delay.

I tell you, the South is on a tear!

BuckeyeOne,

Because Tennessee is in the SEC which has more southern based teams than does Memphis State's conference.

Like the University of Cincinnati is more of a southern team than Ohio State based on geographical location when compared to Upper Arlington.

Makes sense? Of course not. But it is fun.

because anyone that has ever come to memphis knows its hardly the south..maybe "dirty south" as the rappers would say, but knoxville is much more southern than this crazy city.
