How does FLW sponsorship differ from B.A.S.S.? I've been a B.A.S.S. member for many years, but for some reason I've never really paid much attention to FLW. In B.A.S.S. the vast majority of sponsors are fishing/boating related and it makes sense. If KVD is using Strike King lures, others will buy Strike King products. I see FLW pros with A&W and Snickers jerseys. How does one go about becoming a Pop Tarts pro? I doubt anyone is running out to buy Land O Lakes butter after a tournament. I'm sure the answer has something to do with Wal Mart. Just curious.

I would just say it's exposure. Its a different type of outlet aside from TV or print media. Look at NASCAR. They have thousands of non-racing sponsors.

It all comes down to exposure. Look at any sport and you'll see sponsors and logos nowhere identical to what the company is sponsoring.

Nascar is filled with decals, NHL arenas have sponsors lined around the boards, and fishing has the "pop tart" logo on the jersey, lol. Marketing will never go away; it's part of business.

With that being said, I wonder if I could get a custom molded "brown cinnamon sugar" senko?

I guess I just don't get the marketing. When I see Skeet Reese wearing a jersey with Lucky Craft and Champion logos, I know he uses those products. And if the Bassmaster Classic champ is using them they're probably high quality. Then I see Michael Bennett with the Febeze jersey!

Yeah and 50% of commercials don't make ANY sense. It dosn't matter as long as you recognize the product... you will subliminally remember it and think of it when you have the need.
