NEED HELP FOR TOMORROW

Featured Replies

Tomorrow morning will be the opening tournament of the season for me and my partner.  All week long it has been 85 or so degrees.  Last night we had a rain storm and its dropped to 60 today.  Tomorrow's supposed to be 66 and water is fairly clear.  What should I be throwing?  Thanks for the help guys.

What lake you fishing in IL?

Whats the current water temps? Thats the most important factor in the spring. If the water is less than 60, I'd go with a suspending jerkbait. If you get some wind, throw a spinnerbait.

Kind of why I was asking about the lake, I haven't fished much in southern IL but nothing in Souther WI / Northern IL is above mid - high 50's yet.  With the wind we've had around here this week I've been throwing jigs / spinners with good success.

Without knowing the specific body your asking about the night before the tournament is probably a bit to late to be asking too  ;)  Can give you general advice but whats it good for if you can't take it out and pre fish to see if its working.
