Tournament help for beginners

Featured Replies

My friend and I would like to begin fishing Team Bass Tournaments the only problem is he lives in Boulder, CO and I live in Indianapolis, IN.  We would like to find Tournaments where we can fish together as a team somewhere between the two locations like Missouri.   Some questions:

Is there a league we can join for Teams?

Do we need to join a Club in that area?

Is it too late to start this year?

Any help you can give a couple of beginners would be greatly appreciated.

The only advice I can offer is if y'all want to be successful y'all need to fish a lot  ;)

Most circuits charge a fee to join the association. Most around here charge 25.00 plus entry fee for each tournament.

No need to join a club.

It's never to late to start; however, you will be way behind in points to qualify for the championship.

Google fishing tournaments and check for options in your area or, preferably something half way between your locations to cut the travel down.

Good luck,

Jack

Here in Missouri it is a little too late to start most buddy circuits.  The best one I would recommend is called Anglers in Action, check out midwestfishtournaments.com, they have a really great trail that is really good for people starting out. They usually have most of the tournaments in the spring and a championship in the summer.  Check it out for next year. They have an open division that let's you choose 5 tournaments on different lakes or you can choose just one lake to fish the whole season. Good Luck!!
