Questions About Pro Staffers

Featured Replies

I see alot of people on forums that are "pro-staffers" for different rod and reel companies and I wonder what is in it for these guys. I doubt these companies pay enough for it to be a full time job so are there other perks that go along with being a pro-staffer? Also, are there other duties that must be completed independent and selling products on-line and in forums? Sorry for all the questions, but I am just intrigued to the business end of things when it comes to these positions.

I bet 90% of them are getting "pro deal" and are not true pro staffers.  Pro deal is basically an employee discount.

Sometimes "Pro Staffers" have to act as a rep of sorts and do some local expos and shows.

My good buddy is on Save Phace's Pro Staff and he goes to the shows for them and lends a few out to members of our local clubs to try.  Kind of like an unpaid sales rep. (short of the freebies and deals).
