Look around this RESUME'S forum, you will find plenty of info about getting sposored......I think earthworm77 has a good one going.

First and foremost What are you willing to offer? This is no laughing matter. You want something and they make it, so how do you get your foot in the door?

Most companies I have been trying to get have been burned by giving away products and recieving nothing or very little along with not being able to contact the person they are backing.

With this being a fact of life we as anglers in my opinion can only expect to recieve a small discount on most of the products we would like, so with that being said understand that you may need to search for a smaller lesser known company who is willing to take a chance and prove yourself.

All of my sponsors at this time have been contacting me. This will not get you paid to fish, but helps as you chase the other companies. Best advice I can give is expect to get a discount at first and maybe some kind of a kick back, do this for awhile while building your sponsor base then look for the homerun!!

I am chasing a rod company at this time and this is what I have learned.
