RE: National Fishing Sponsorship Opportunity

Dear, Potential Sponsor

First off let me start off by saying thank you for taking the time to read this letter of opportunity, not only for me but more so for you. My name is Gary Hammaker and I am a professional bass angler. You're probably wandering what that has to do with you.

I am curious to know if you would be interested in partnering with me to promote your company in a new way. What do I mean by a new way? As an angler that competes in fishing tournaments, I can provide you with a whole new angle of advertising. This advertising will reach other anglers, their families, and spectators as well as the public in general. If you haven't yet considered this avenue to promote and market your business, it might be worth looking into.

Every day more and more companies are involving themselves (as sponsors) with competitive fishing tournaments and some aren't related to the fishing industry at all. Companies like Citgo, Busch Beer, Purolator, Papa John's, Toyota, Cialis, Banana Boat, Fuji Film, Land O' Lakes, and Kellogg's are just to name a few.

Due to the growing popularity of competitive tournament fishing, these and other companies are using tournament trails and anglers (like me) to help market and promote their product/service in a new format.

If you are looking to find people, who could become loyal, repeat customers, I believe I can put you smack-dab in front of those prospects. In fact, as impressive as your product line is it shouldn't't be difficult for me to focus on promoting your company.

As a competitive tournament angler, I have prepared some ideas to help market and promote potential sponsors. If you are even remotely interested in exploring this new advertising avenue, which I can offer, please contact me.

Sincerely.

I removed your personal information from the bottom of your post. It's not a good idea to post your contact information on a forum. Search engines, bots, crooks, and spammers can pick it up. It's best to use our PM feature and have your potential sponsors contact you using that. Thanks and welcome to BassResource.

Some of the sponsors you listed have actually pulled out of bass fishing.

I would proofread through this and correct the couple of errors you have and consider re-wording a few things. Companies want their best foot forward and allowing you to promote for them is just like bringing you on as an employee. I hope all goes well for you in 2010. Tight Lines!

Yes, there are a few mistakes, and a few awkward sentences in this. Additionally, most of the sponsors you mentioned have discontinued their support of bass fishing. Probably not a good idea to list those.
