anyone know some college teams in VA? im looking into colleges now but i want to find one with a team so i can jump on board and fish some tournaments! thanks!

Remember, colleges are being bombarded with applications.  Virginia Tech gets 20,000 applications for 5,000 slots and it is the same for other schools.

You may want to get into a school, like Marshall, and then transfer into a Virginia school that has a fishing team.

Keep those core course grades high and do well on your SAT/ACT so you can get into college.

Yea I'm in highschool right now, I'll be a junior this year but plan to go to norhwestern to fish tournaments also.... If you look in the college bass standings Zach Gagnard went to school with me.. He graduated last year and I fished against him my freshmen year in our highschool bass club.... I've always come in second and third behind him and his partner wich only graduated this year... his name is Chance Wilkinson and is far better than Zach is IMO... I've fished with both but they both had two and three years of experience over me... I plan on seeing Chance in the top of the leader boards this next year... Now it's my time to win these lil highschool tournaments and head to the top... so maybe I'll be seein you in a couple years.. lol  

btw i failed to mention that Zach is ranking third in the nation right now.

I am going to Christopher Newport University next year and they have a team.  I plan on fishing on it to!

The Virginia Tech team won the national championship a couple years ago.  I graduated from there in 2004 before they had the team.  Here is a link...

I live in VA, but go to school at Shepherd U. in West Virginia. The teams I know of that are competing in the College Fishing FLW Northern Region right now are CNU, VT, Radford, and Longwood.

I live in Huntington, WV and I know a few people that go to Marshall that are wanting to start a team.

you could always start a team at what ever school you choose, or you could come down to sw florida and fish on my team.
