Which way is up?

Featured Replies

I have read that if fishing the anacondas top water to set the hook so the tail of the anaconda is down. How do you hook baits to know which side will be up or down (if rigging weightless texas style say)? Should the hook point come out the side or if I want the tail down should the hook point point down like the tail?

also, when tieing on an offset hook should does it matter which side of the eye you run the line from?

The anacondas are designed to be Texas rigged, Carolina rigged, fished weightless or rigged on a keel weighted swimbait hook TAIL UP.

to rig with the tail down means that the hook will on the same side that the tail bends towards.

I rigged this bait tail down and tail up and both ways get great action out of the bait.
