Rage tail taod vs. rage tail shad?

Featured Replies

What do you find to be better, I looked at the both of them and they both look good! But what's noisier and better for you? And are they worth the extra cash, or should I stick to toads like the ribbit and cane toads?

You don't have an option to choose both of them.  The shad and toads great, I have mutiple packs of each in my tacklebox at all times.

I was really displeased at the performance of the Toads, I got them with high expectations, but they let me down big time. They almost NEVER run on the correct side. Ribbits are better.

Have you tried using a keel weighted hook?  It will make all of the difference in the performance of the toads.

Pls. ck out the link below and use a minimum 5/0 ewg superline hook. Any less hook will not keel the Toad properly.

Also the Rage Tail baits are now packaged in hard shell clams inside the bag and many are on the store shelves now.

Hope this helps you...

Although they are both basically topwater buzz style baits, they are very different baits with different appearance and style of action opportunities.

A look at the short video links  below will help with understanding the difference in action. After you've had an opportunity to fish each of them the difference is much more obvious.

Rage Toad

Rage Shad

The Shad has an aggressive body movement and can create much more noise and splash opportunity. The Toad has great water movement but a more subtle presentation.

"Different strokes for different fish" and hope that helps....
