llPa1nll
Well I dont know what kind of luck you guys had this weekend but for me it was not much. I am honestly thinking I am probably going to head out 1 or 2 more times this season and then winterize my boat. I had to break thru Ice at the ramp this weekend with the water temp being in the 32°F range at the ramp, out on the main lake it was 42°F. We didnt get any fish, which was disappointing. I tried some seasonal tactics and didnt get touched I dont know if the recent cold spell that set in is the cause or if I was just fishing too fast. Derad sticking soft plastics and some blade baits. Any Ideas? On a funnier note I had a 2-3lb Rainbow Trout at boatside Pecking at a Senko. Go figure... :'( :'( :'(
Yakfish
Ice setting in already in your world huh? I saw a thin layer on the water in our pool cover the other morning but none on the reservoir yet. Last Tuesday it hit 68* and I only managed a total of four bites in four hours and only one was a fish I was interested in, a small LM who went after a DT-6. I'm thinking that I'm just about done but who knows, a few more days in the 50's may come our way so I'll keep my gear in the truck and be ready to take a few casts if I can. BassKing813
Say it aint so, I will not go, carry me home, carry me home. Okay I'm done. I think your best bet at this point would be live bait. When the bite gets tough, I just tie on a c-rigged live nightcrawler. Gets 'em every time. Just make sure you hook the worm as you would a t-rig plastic, so that way the worm hangs down and wiggles enticingly. I have found that they don't bite it as well if you hook the worm through the middle three of four times.
