Anyone have any luck in SOUTHERN NH yet?
Hey everyone. I haven't been on in a while and it's great to see that people are tearing it up here in NH. I've been out a few times but the best by far was the other night. 9 decent LM and 3 pickerel in about an hour and a half on Gregg Lake and all on the same fat Ika.I definitely got my money's worth out of that one.

Anyone have any luck in SOUTHERN NH yet?
Got skunked at Haunted Lake in Francestown yesterday. Not so much as a nibble One of the most exciting days fishing I ever had was with the feisty pickerel on Powder Mill. Top water bite was insane! No bass but that Ribbit took a beating!

Anyone have any luck in SOUTHERN NH yet?
It's completely open now. I got over the there for about an hour last Thursday but had no luck. Lost my first bait of the year though. I've never seen even half as many trees down as this year. The ice storm tore the place up huh? Yea that ice storm really hit there hard, I couldn't believe how many trees were down when I went up there too, I went up there Sunday but no luck, there were quite a few other people fishing there then too but everyone I talked to hadn't had any luck either. I've found it to be a real hot and cold spot. With my schedule I usually get out on weekdays so it's not often that I see anyone there other than the couple who sit in their lawn chairs at the pump house but I know it gets a fair amount of pressure for such a relatively small body of water. Honestly the place frustrates the hell out of me! If it weren't such a convenient location I probably wouldn't go at all.

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Not too far from me wagn. I like Nubanusit in Hancock for smallmouth. Other than that I haven't fished much of south/central NH. I'd dig into my Clark's or the Fish and Game site for some ideas.

Kayak ???? Need advice
Cool, nice boat I tend to travel a little lighter but a SOT definitely has a lot more options for storage. I get away with 2 rod holders behind me and a small tackle bag in the cockpit with me. I've got a dry hatch with plenty of room for a small cooler and a change of clothes and I'll probably add a Scotty holder this year but that's pretty much it. Good point on the leash. If you like it, leash it. Especially your paddle!

Kayak ???? Need advice
There's a case to be made for both sit in and sit on kayaks but my preference is a sit in. A sit in may feel tippy because it'll rock more that a flat bottomed SOT but believe me it would take some real rough water or deliberate effort on your part to make it go over. I wouldn't try standing in either style but some people swear by sit on tops for that feature. Having tried both my .02 is that a SIK is more versatile in that I can cover larger bodies of water because it tracks better, stay dry in the wake of power boats and handle loading/unloading a lot more easily because of its relative light weight. I wouldn't feel short changed about the boat you've got until you've tried it out and seen what it can do. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Kayak ???? Need advice
Nice looking boat. A couple rod holders and you're good to go. I keep it simple although you can find a lot of mods to trick out your yak to suit your needs. Check out http://www.kayakfishingstuff.com/

Peta's Beliefs on C&R
Which is why they are impervious to traditional argumentative tools like logic, facts, and reason. That is genius Dan!! Genius!! To PETA: Every year each Bass alone causes the death of countless sea-kittens. They feed on male, female, even baby sea kittens. They are relentless, often swalling them whole. Sometimes devouring whole families in a single gulp. What's worse, like a scene out of jaws, even helpless mice, froggies, and little grasshoppers are not safe. As a Bass will attack them from below without warning. We at BassResource.com are vigorously fighting this scourge. Catching these Bass one by one. When possible we will have a tough discussion with them, take a photo (for our records) and release them, hoping they change their ways. Please support us in this pivitol campaign.... Sounds like their way of thinking. Yes, but be sure to give those naughty bass a good talking to prior to releasing them lest they fail to mend their evil ways and convert to eating carrots and alfalfa.

Peta's Beliefs on C&R
A while back I clicked some headline related to fishing on MSN's homepage and was linked to "fishing hurts" which. . .surprise, surprise. . .is a PETA site. They come within inches of equating C&R sport fishing with whaling and clubbing dolphins that get caught in tuna nets. Unbelievable propagandists.

For those who loooove the Sham-Wow guy
Yes, but can it core a apple? CHEF OF THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!, another HoneyMooner's Fan 8-) Big time. Great signature Muddy ;D I for one think the Ronco rotisserie is as good as advertised. And it won't burn your house down like a deep fryer left unattended on your back porch

Loud commercials
My DVR has spoiled me to the point that I can't watch real time TV any more. I'll set it to record or start a show, hit the pause button and come back 15 minutes later so I can skip through the obnoxious things. The downside is I have no idea what kind of toothpaste I should be using, what cola is my favorite or what talentless "pop star's" album I should be listening to. It's a trade off I'm willing to make

Pineapple Express
Gotta check it out. I remember thinking that it looked funny from the trailer (but what doesn't) so the endorsements help. Thank you BR

Other than black bass, what do like to fish for the most?
Pickerel. I was getting skunked one day this summer while my brother and a couple buddies were reeling in the LM's but the pickerel were going nuts for my top water frog so I went with it. Without a doubt the most ferocious strikes I've ever seen. Not the easiest hooksets but it was a blast watching those mean SOB's jump (reminiscent of the creatures in Tremors). I caught no bass at all that day and left with stinky, slimy hands but I think I had more fun than anyone else on the water

What now?
Ok, kinda just a bored out of my skull post but in all seriousness. . .now that our season is pretty much done I'm curious as to what the other New Englanders do to pass the time between now and spring. We're not exactly iced in here in southern NH but I'm pretty much done for the year and am now waiting on enough snow to hit the slopes. I'm sure I'll spend some time doing all of the above but my main interest during the winter is skiing so bring it on! What are you gonna do with yourself? :-?

Southern NH Fishing for Largemouth now HELP.
I've had good luck with smallies on Nubanusit in Hancock/Nelson. A fairly big body of water for an inflatable and the season is pretty much done anyway but keep it in mind for next year. I'll definitely be keeping it on my short list, real nice spot. Check it out here: http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/Fishing/bathy_maps.htm
