  1. I keep the Pepcid handy. Spicy food and coffee catch up with me every so often. I gotta quit 'em altogether but they're so darn good! Shame on me. :-/
  2. Usually right around there but unless there's a sustained warming trend that starts yesterday it's looking like April for sure.
  3. Most of the shows I watch have been mentioned except Rescue Me. FX has some great shows and even though they're really prime time soaps when it comes right down to it at least they're not any of that so called reality crap! Somebody should be shot for coining that phrase and a good portion of the American public should have their heads examined for watching and perpetuating it. Oh yeah, South Park is great.
  4. Love my DVR. I could never go back to live TV. Wanna see your DVR have a fit? Set it up to record all episodes of Law & Order. Learned that one the hard way. ;D
  5. Good question man. That oughta be on a bumper sticker!
  6. Nice. You should have a good time with it. 10' is a good length for smaller bodies of water and on anything bigger than a few acres you'll definitely get that workout. A couple of rod holders and paddles clips (assuming yours isn't outfitted with them already) are easy DIY projects that will make all the difference in the world when you get out on the water. There are lots of other mods you can do to make it "yours" and a convenient, effective platform to fish from.
  7. Check out this site. Lots of great info and more ways to rig a kayak than you'd think possible. http://kayakfishingstuff.com/ I spent $550 on my yak and another $50 putting in two rod holders and rigging an anchor. Best money I've spent on fishing gear. If you're looking for a bargain price but want a decent boat to fish from (unlike those from Dick's) I'd look at used or blems. Good luck and have fun!
  8. Smallies: I like smallies! My outing: I like seeing pics of fishies. Everything else: Because I can do everything else but catch fish right now. :'(
  9. It's stayed funny, smart and relevant for a lot of seasons. It also has a moral more often than not. I hope they can continue to pull it off because as stupid as my wife thinks it is it's been one of my favorite shows for a long time.
  10. Paddle power baby. Packing a lunch and filling a thermos at home leaves just the gas there and back. Maybe $6 bucks for a 50 mile round trip.

Sad but true. I work in a restaurant, not fast food with registers but the comps tell you the change after entering in the cash payment amount. When they occasionally go down it's freakin' chaos dealing with servers in their 20's who have never learned how to do basic math. $12.99 + $9.99 + 6% sales tax causes the eyes to glaze over. Deducting the total (if they get that far) from two twenty dollars bills is enough to burst a blood vessel.
  12. About $3.10/gallon around here.
  13. Will do. Just hoping that I don't see too much open water in my back yard or basement.
  14. Bummer...it musta really spun out of control. I still give a big to Patricia Heaton and without violating the edict of no pics but staying true to the nature of the thread as it was intended I gotta say that having just watched an episode of The Office there's something about Jenna Fischer (Pam Beesly) that does it for me. Much more than ANY guy named Mike in his skivvies. Sorry dude, nothing personal. ;D
  15. Just enough to keep me humble but not so much that I won't go back.
  16. I'm pretty good with electronics and certain fixes on my motorcycle but my drywall adventure is one I'd like to forget. :-[

;D ;D ;D Oh, the price we pay for the things we enjoy.
  18. Warming up??? ;D A foot of snow in less than a week here in NH. Guess we're too far north and not far enough east. :-/

Frank's Hot Sauce is great on almost anything but this stuff is my all time favorite. My brother gave me a bottle a couple years ago and I was hooked. I order a couple bottles every few months. It's the one thing in the fridge that no one else ever touches. http://www.firehotsauces.com/bq0012.html
  20. What a shame. Water temps in the 30's and even 40's will immobilize and kill you in a matter of minutes. This guy was in deep trouble with or without a PFD but the extra couple of minutes that the added buoyancy would have bought him could have saved his life. WEAR YOUR VEST!
  21. ;D What a freakin ball buster.

Whatever...nice fish man. At least you're catching. Me? I'm shovelling snow!
  23. Smallmouth are dangerous. Be careful if you snag one over 5 lbs, you might lose a hand! : Yeah, that would really suck.
