Finally a Cold Water Bass

Featured Replies

Ice finally melted off and I went out in some decent weather.  45 degrees, 30+mph wind, and water about 40 degrees.  I couldn't feel my jig worth anything and missed what I think were 3 fish.  I managed a 1.5-2 pounder, but I'm just glad I could catch something in this cold of water.  Sorry the pic sucks, cameraphone. ::)

Nice job dude!   Were you shore fishing, or in a boat?

I have gone fishing I say atleast 25 times since it has gotten cold here in Pa, and can't catch a cold.  Not even any bites.  Atleast any that I know of.  I'd set the hook every time I thought I had a bite, and nada.

Looks like a nice fish.  Better than the ones I am gettin'.

Fishing from shore, or actually a green, I was at a golf course.

I got one today.  I was throwing a 4 inch dinger from shore, at a small pond, and caught a LM about the same size.

I think your post gave me a sliver of confidence that I needed.  My first since late Sept. early Oct.

Thanks jfowl32590!

Great job and nice fish
