Berkley Frenzy Diver

Featured Replies

Berkley Frenzy Diver is very cheap a $1.99-2.99, has anyone had luck with it? I have had zero luck with the Berkley Frenzy Rattl'rs.

When they first came out I used the powder blue shad colored one a bunch and caught fish on them. I was fishing tannic water and I guess it showed up good in the water. The bait was never a consistent producer for me but it does work. I have caught one 10 lb trophy bass on it so I can't complain about it to much but when I unhooked it the paint was half gone off the lure. That was the older bait not to say that the new lures have the same problem. One of the guys I fish with use the orange crawfish colored bait and it produces for him.

It is one of my best baits in the prespawn, with water temps in the 50's.  They are durable, have decent paint jobs, and glass eyes all for a bargain price.  I just change out the hooks and I'm good to go.  I stock the Texas Shad, Tennessee shad, Fire Tiger, Craw, and blue/chartreuse.  I feel it is one of the better, least talked about baits.

About three or four years ago I got one when I ordered my Bassin subscription. It's been a very productive lure. Last August I bought a couple Frenzy Flicker Shad and I was pleased with them also.

I haven't tried them for bass.I have had really good luck using these casting flooded timber for walleyes. On one trip it was actually the only bait I could get them to hit. It is suprisingly snag resistent. For the price I think it is an excellent lure. Good action, very durable, and I personally have never had a problen with the paint coming off what so ever.

I guess I have tried frenzy lures for bass. But only the lipless versions. I have caught some fish with it but seem to do a lot better with Bill Lewis Rattle Traps. Love Rattle Traps. :)
