my fishin story

Featured Replies

one of my best days of fishing was when i was 13. i decided to look for a new spot, and found an old water plant with a natural dam made out of boulders. i started pitchin a lil green grub. within my first 3 casts, i got a beautifully colored Rock Bass. this continued for 3 hours! i got at least 15 fish, some were some of the biggest bass i've ever caught.

My best day ever was on the upper Potomac River, near the American Legion Bridge.  My partner and I caught over 100 smallmouth each, some catfish, a gar, and some big unindentified white fish (probably just very large shad???).  Did not catch a single one on a lure, my friend and I used weedless wieghtless hooks and a few helgramites we found turning over rocks.  We stayed out for probably ten hours, were burned to a crisp, and thouroghly enjoyed every second.
