  1. one of my best days of fishing was when i was 13. i decided to look for a new spot, and found an old water plant with a natural dam made out of boulders. i started pitchin a lil green grub. within my first 3 casts, i got a beautifully colored Rock Bass. this continued for 3 hours! i got at least 15 fish, some were some of the biggest bass i've ever caught.
  2. what if i tie a snap swivel on at the end of the rig so i can quick change? will the rig work as well?
  3. i'm going to a 1 acre lake and using a c-rig for the first time. i plan on using a spinnerbait, rat-l-trap, worms, grubs, and a few other baits. how many casts should i give each one before i switch?
  4. i'm using a lure, so would it matter?
  5. i have never used either but just got both. any tips? also how many casts would you give a lure in a given spot before you either switch lures or locations?
  6. i know a lake (Fitzpatrick) near here that is chock full of black crappie and supposedly big bass. i have a storm crappie lure. will it work?

  8. i'll be 2O monday and cleaned up on gear. got a strike king bleeding mini king, storm 3-D action swimming crappie and minnow, pumpkin colored tube jigs, a rat-l-trap, a crankbait, a berkeley Frenzy pop frog, a storm craw, and assorted worms and grubs. think it's a start on a good tackle box?

  14. this'll make me sound dumb but i don't know anything about em. what exactly is a carolina rig? how useful are they and in what situation/conditions?
  15. i'm not exactly certain about the origins of the river's name, but i think it is native american. what i can tell you is, though pretty shallow and often wrongfully referred to as a creek, it's one of the most underrated fisheries in the Mountain State. It supports a good range of gamefish including spotted, smallmouth and rock bass, carp, flathead catfish, and of course the bluegill, sunfish, and prey animals these larger fish feed on. it's where i caught my first redeye and where i've fished ever since.
  16. should i get it? ithas an assortment of spinners, buzzbaits, spinner & crawfish trailers, bass jigs, tube jigs, and jig heads.
  17. yup, sure am. Wyoming County
  18. just registered. the biggest bass i've ever caught was a 2.75lb. spotted bass from the Guyandotte River.
