7-7 Farm Pond - Dinkville

Featured Replies

Hit the farm pond at sunup yesterday morning, as i knew it was suppose to get hot in the middle of the day.  Didn't have my truck to haul the boat so i just hit the bank.  Got there at 5:30am, and first fish hooked up at 5:45.

1lb on a Bluegill pattern Rapala Skitter Walk

Next was a dink on a Rebel Pop-R

Caught 1 more dink on the Pop-R, 1 on a Rapala Original Floater twitched just under the surface like a jerkbait, and 1 on a Watermelon Super Fluke.

Was a day of dinks, but seeing as how i hadn't been out for 2 weeks, it was nice to have something tugging back at me on the end of my line.  Was 75 when i got there and 90 when i left at 10am.

Good job Jason.  I caught a couple of dinks too today but we both caught some Bass ;).

Atleast you caught a few fish after the lay off, and you beat the heat! Weather has been the same here in VA and the only sensable times to get out there are early morning like your trip and late evening before dark.
