LOL funny I said pretty much the exact same thing on the thread without even reading your post. Il cast a senko then count to 30 a lot of the time before moving it and it gives me great results.

I AGREE with slowing down the presentation of baits and bait presentation 100% especially if the bait is not producing results right away. I have had so many baits produce fish once I slow down the actions and presentations that were not producing in the first place. What I often do with wacky rig senkos is I will toss the senko out and then count to 30 seconds before I do ANYTHING at all with it. I tend to have great results doing this. I DISAGREE with "slowing down" when it refers to staying with the same bait and presentation for longer periods of time if it is not working. If its not working quit using a losing tactic.

I know of so many lakes where they dont let you bring any beer in Cali. You dont have to let this stop you though.

Try out new baits. Try out multiple presentations with each bait. Learn the structures of the lake you fish. Fish to your strengths. Observe the weather and conditions. If packing a snack to take fishing. Leave the bananas at home.

This bass measured 19.5 inches and had a 12.5 inch girth. I would guess he is in the high 4 LB range. Now the funny story that goes with this bass is I was fishing with a finesse worm ( what a suprise) when he hit the bait. I thought that this bass was actually bigger than he actually was because he was putting up a huge fight even though I could not see him. The bass then got stuck in a big clump of grass and weeds. I stayed there for a minute lightly turning and pumping the bass in different directions with no results. This was not working so I took off my pants and went wading into the lake (sorry for the disturbing visuals). I waded in with the rod and real and was able to get enough leverage to get the bass out. I was then standing waste deep in the lake fighting the fish towards me while I could lip it waste deep in water... I think I take the cake for the most hardcore fishermen at the site now. EDIT: Fixed the epic fail giant too big pictures.

Yeah I remember him showing me that bass a few days after he caught it. It could well be the same fish. I caught a 5 Lber from that same pond today Il post the pic up when I can.

Was going to say how much I love zoom baits but everyone else beat me to it.

I just set up a facebook on monday. Good to know... well I never use it for anything but talking to friends anyway.

Oh by the way I would also go out and buy online playable games and not go to free download sites because a lot of those sites can result in viruses being put on your comp. I just got into playing "Starcraft2" which does not have any chat rooms atm since the game just came out. They will introduce chat in a later patch though. This game is $60 though right now. There are a lot of online games you can get for cheap such as Counter Strike ect though...

To be honest most online games are multiplayer so you will have to chat in the game to communicate with your team mates in a team game. A lot of games you can 1v1 on and not talk to your opponent but they will more than likely talk to you. You cannot get around chatting in the game itself. You can however play games that do not have chat rooms or just not join the chat rooms that are on the game.

I know I have not been that active recently but over the last year on this site I have noticed that something has been missing. Where is that "Fish Chris" guy? I know a lot of the old school members who posted about 3 years ago know who he is. It seemed every two weeks he would post a pic of a 10 LB+ Bass or a huge fish of some other species. He was one of my favorite posters but he seems to have vanished? Anyone know where he is?

Caught one 7 LBer last week. Caught one 5LBer and a bunch of 3-4 LB bass. Numbers wise I have had a great year considering I have not dont too much fishing. However I am sure my bass fishing style is naturally for numbers rather than size.

It is obviously always best to get the hook out if you can. Always be sure to bring some needle nose pliers to help in this situation.

No way man. Keep the carp on there. Your my favorite poster on this site because of all those awesome Koi you get into. Nice fish dude. I've had a pretty slow year, size wise. I would kill for a couple more in that range before 2010 wraps up I have been having a great year when it comes to numbers of bass. I have also had a good year on catching bass on a variety of baits. I even caught some bass on swimbaits, topwater, chatterbaits. So I pretty much have caught them with every style of fishing. Size wise I never usually catch bass this big. I think it is just because my style of fishing uses smaller baits with a lot of action so I think my fishing style for bass targets numbers rather than size.

I actually like my Koi avatar. I just like it because it is different to anyone else on this site. I love how this pic turned out though.

Could be a 7. You said in your signiture your PB Bass was a 23 inch bass with a 13 inch girth that weighed 6LB 7oz which you obviously weighed. This bass that I caught was 22 which is an inch shorter but I am sure the girth is more than 13. This fish was fat. My bass was probably around the same weight as the fish in your signiture I would say.. shorter length and bigger girth.

I happen to like "Fish Warrior". You have to understand that the guy is going around the world targeting exotic species that are seldom fished for so no one really knows what is best to do. A lot of the species he targets are rare too so they are hard to find. I am willing to bet you, me, or anyone on this site could catch the fish he catches under the conditions and in the time frame he does it. To be honest the only fishing shows I watch are Fish Warrior, River Monsters, Hooked, City Limits, The Hunt for Big Fish and the reason is because these shows are different to most fishing shows on TV. I personally happen to find most fishing shows boring now adays. Most fishing shows like Bill Dance or Jimmy Houston (not flaming the shows they are just the first that came to mind) are just some Pro Angler fishing and giving tips. A lot of the shows contain the same material. They are great for anglers just starting out with bass fishing. I used to love Bill Dance because his show taught me a lot as a teenager but now its just boring to me. I have to admit though... the "Fish Warrior" himself is a little annoying.

I was about to say it was a fake picture that someone edited with photoshop to make the fish look weird yet believable until tholmes posted another picture of a fish that looked exactly the same. I would have to guess some type of Parrot Fish.
