Dad's new PB (pics)

Featured Replies

Well me and my dad headed out to Lake Graham for a couple of hours this afternoon just to try and catch a few. We fished for about an hour and a half without a bite then we pulled up to a point and started fishing the abundant standing trees and stumps. After about 5 minutes CRACK my dad sets the hook and his rod doubles over he starts fighting it and I grab the net, then it jumped clear out of the water and I caught it in the net. It was 21 inches long and had a girth of 15 inches. According to the weight calculator on this website it was about 5 1/2- 6lbs. I'll post pics once I get them into my photobucket account. Oh yeah, he caught it on a 1/4 oz spot remover with a 7inch red shad Berkely Shaky Worm.

Love to hear about new PB's.  I think this is the best thing that BassResource.com can do for a basser.

teach him the techniques to get that new PB.

And it was your dad.

Now, how perfect is that?

Nuttin' like a new PB!! Congrats to your dad and to you on the nice net catch!! HAHA You didn't knock it out like the net dude in the thread about the possible world record that got away...haha

Good job & congrats.  Nothing like fishing with Dad.  Catching a pig just makes it that much more fun.
