Hit the pond at sun-up again this morning.  Topwater bite was nowhere to be found.  So i switched straight to soft plastics.  

Caught this 1 lb'er on a Watermelon Seed Super Fluke

1lb-11oz on a 5" Black/Blue YUM Dinger

Ended up with 2 more dinks on the Fluke, and lost 2 more 1lb'ers at the bank in the weeds.  Also caught 2 nice crappie on a small rattle trap.

That topwater bite is elusive, huh? The fish look very healthy. I love the flukes but for some reason I could never catch anything on the dingers. Idk why because I can catch a ton off of *** which have just about the same action.

Tight lines

Those are some pretty fat bass. Yes they are small around one pound but still fun to catch. You also got some crappie to mix it up and got to use a variety of baits. Sounds like a great day of fishing.
