Jigs, I'm impressed

Featured Replies

I tried jigs for the first time last night and threw some again tonight.  End result, 3 bass.  I'm impressed.

I found I was able to feel the jig on the end of the line and after having read some of the tips here on bass resource, I knew what to look for when a fish was on. I was using a rattle jig from Bass Pro Shops and a Yo Mama trailer from Gander Mtn.   Since the weather has been so hot here, I figured this evening they might be deep on the bottom. Sure enough, that's where they were. The jig was just the thing to get out in the deep water.  Caught 2 more tonight as well on a Carolina rig with a Gander Mtn orange craw finesse worm.  But I'm definitely going to give the jig a lot more use.
