You know those rocks you've been bouncing your crankbaits off of to catch 1 and 2 pounders?   Try a jig/craw combo on that same rockpile.  the classic black/blue combo is hard to beat, but so is green pumpkin and/or watermelon.   but do yourself a favor.  Catch a few on the cranks first.  This will give you the confidence that your on the fish,   Then apply LBH's techniques and work the jig in and around the rocks.  Vary the presentation as per the video.  I think you may break the hex and find a biggun or two.

Positive reinforcement muddy, that's all the guys are doing by posting the jig threads.  

Great advice from Catt, find the fish with what you know ,..THEN start bouncing that jig....

BIG TIP

If you know they are there and you still can't get one on a jig,....SLOW IT DOWN.  Creep it with a slow drag on bottom till you touch structure.  Pop it over or thru the structure and keep it going,....slowly!

I always catch more fish on the jig when I'm fishing from shore. IDK why, maybe becuase crawfish prefer shallow water, but it might be worth a try. Keep at it and eventualy you will catch a bass.

oh yeah, and what avid said is 100% right. Its all about the vibes man. If you got the right vibes, you'll be catching far out bass.

Stay focused, lose the aggression and frustration and fish relaxed.  (This small advice has helped senko77 tremendously,ask him)

Create a mind set on the way to the lake that you probably won't catch tonight, but it sure is gonna be nice to be on the boat instead of on the couch.  If you don't catch, you are not so disappointed or frustrated.  If you DO catch, you are overwhelmed with pride/joy and the beginning of a new confidence.

You, of all people, I would think, can understand that "MINDSET" is 1/2 the battle.  Nothing worse than fighting yourself, keep it you vs the fishies.

Hey First off I dish it out and I also can take it. I actually love humor pointed my way, keeps me from taking myself too seriously.
