First Bass on a brush hog

Featured Replies

Tried Brush hogs yesterday and was semi successful. Caught one. I got a few more bites but I believe the Bluegill were playing with the appendages. The fish werent agressively striking the Brush Hogs so I caught the rest of my fish on Trick Sticks. Needless to say Brush Hogs work and I am a believer.

The fish must have been actively feeding. In this pic you can see crawfish Antennae sticking out.

Baby Brush hogs are great! I love fishing them on a split shot or carolina rig. The big ones fall for em to, my fishing buddy caught his pb 6lb. 9oz. on a green pumpkin one.

Congrats on your first. If you keep using them, it won't be your last! I always thought a jig n pig was IT and then found Brush Hogs. I still like the bigger looking profile of the jig but i find myself using the hogs T-rigged more often...
