I caught my first bass on a Rapala yesterday. Actually, I caught 4 of them. Now I'm

pumped.  Maybe these things really do work.  Caught 3 on an original silver floater

and one on a jointed silver.  3 of the strikes came on the pause after a steady retrieve

and a little light twitching.  The other strike came as the lure hit the water.  Wow,

I'm newly excitied about Rapalas. None of the fish were big, but they weren't dinks, either.

I get alot of hits off the shad rap when i pause just for a second.

The Rapala  hasn't been around for years and years and years because of it's inability to catch fish.  They have always produced for me.  Silver/black and gold/black...

rapalas have worked most when trolling for me. but also casting has worked too. good luck
