well I got to check out the floating dock on saturday, and I must say I couldn't have asked for a better day of fishing.

I started out at about 6:30 where I usually do, to the right of the boat ramp. There was a tournament starting as I got out there. Caught a crappie on a rattle trap on my second or third cast, then nothing after, no bites at all.

Then about 9:00 I headed in search of the floating dock, finally found it. there were a few of the tourny guys fishing near the first part of it when I got there, so I walked to the very end and set up. What followed was the best day of fishing I've ever had. The guys in their boats didn't seem to happy after I started catching. ;D

Caught all of them on a Mepps #3 black fury and pumpkin fat ika. I went out on friday and bought the fat Ikas in pumkin since Ron had so much luck with that color.

I guess that I'm catching fish now I should go out and buy a scale. Maybe next season.

Thanks again Ron and Andy for the great spot.

I caught two more but one was very small and the other jumped off the hook and slammed flat against the dock, he looked a bit rattled so I flicked him into the water, so no pics.

thanks for the comment T-rig.

I agree. I catch a bunch of bass that size out of my raft. Fun times. Even those smaller guys can really put up a nice fight out on that water.

Like the crappie as well. There neat looking fish. Have only caught one this year and it was by accident. I may try to learn more about them here in the winter months and target them with my UL next year.
