A new PB ! ! ! . . . almost

Featured Replies

I went out with my brother yesterday morning. All in all it was a very good day. We boated about 30, with a few in the 3-4 lb range. It was about noon or so, and we were hitting the last few spots on the way home. I casted to a little dock and was picked up on the sink. I started to reel in what felt like a small fish, when suddenly he came right at me faster than I could take up the line. When I caught up to him, he felt like a freight train. We battled give and take for about a minute and finally I got her near the boat and I saw that it was a HUGE fish. (25-30 inches) It dove away from the boat pulled some drag and then the hook pulled out and she was gone. :'(

I sat there for a second and then realized something was still on the line. When I reeled it in it was an 8" dink that I assume was the original bite. I quickly released him and he was fine.

Needless to say I will be placing an order for a Mattlures Baby Bass very shortly. ;)
