new pb!!!

Featured Replies

Well i havent been fishing in probably over a month. We just put a new deck in my aluminum 12' boat, and i had to try it out. I still need to get a bow mount motor for it and it will be perfect. This made my trip a lot more enjoyable. Although i couldnt control the boat, since my dad was on the back with our transom mount, presenting my lures and the overall comfort was drastically increased. To top it off, i actually caught a fish on the 30 acre "no fish lake". Ive never caught a limit on this lake, and ive never caught a fish over 1lb. Well to my surprised, i hooked into a giant. A new pb to be exact. This fish proved that i need a new scale. It was 23inches, extreamly well-rounded, and an overall pig. Id say 6.5+lbs. The scale said 2lbs. Ill have pictures up in a few days when i get the film developed. It errupted on a cavitron buzzbait. And i really mean that it exploded on it. A strong fight, and it even took a run under the boat. I was shaking like crazy when i got it in.

i forgot to mention this, but catching that fish fulfilled my goal for this year. My goal was to catch a 5 1/2 lb bass out of a public lake. All of my 5+lb fish have come out of the same 5 acre farm pond.

Nice!

Don't forget to add those pics.  ;)

Way to go!!!!!  It'll be good to see the pics!....

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just entered in the length and girth on the weight calculator, it came up to 7lbs! Thats great since my pb has been 5 1/2 for a while now

These pics turned out terrible!!! It looks like a 3 lb fish. I was dissapointed by the results. But in all honesty, it was up to 7lbs with accordance to the weight calculator
