Lake Avid comes alive

Featured Replies

I've been fishing the little lake by my house for several years now. It holds some decent bass, but typically it's good for numbers but not size.  Today was a little different.  I was out for 3 and a half hours and the action was steady all afternoon.  The difference today was the size.  I caught 11.  Virtually all of them were in the two to three pound range.  the photo below is average for the size today.  A couple were a little bigger but it was getting too dark to photo.  As you can see, my standards for excellence in photography are extremely .....................................something.

the other fun part was that I caught them on a variety of lures.  Horny toad, swim senko, ratLtrap, and a rico popper

Good job.  Judging from your horrible photo that looks like a nice fish.

looks like a nice fish...i'd take them all day long!!

Avid,

Another nice one from Lake Avid.

I really *** you for having such a wonderful body of water to fish.

Keep it up and keep sending those photos.

It gives us all hope that we will be back on the water within the next 30 days to try to match your success.

I just got to get to Florida one day to do some fishing!

It seems no matter how hard we all try to duplicate an Avid pic (state v state thread) there is just no substitute fr the real thing!

:)  Nice treasure you found there

Nice fish and I think that is a better picture than those that SteveP took of you...well done.  ;D

What the hell guys?

Avid quit bassresource.com?

He was by far the most funny guy on our forum. Everything he said made me laugh. Why would he just quit?

Is he ok?

Did something happen to him?

Anyone know?
