Couldn't quite break the 100 Bass mark.

On Tues, a friend and I headed out to the Farm to get in on the last day of fishing before the front came in and destroyed the water clarity.

We started out in the same area that had produced for me on Sunday. After a while, we decided to fish our way across the South end. When we both hooked into a fish at the same time, we laughed and said it might be a good idea to throw out a marker.LOL

We sat there, anchored in the same place, for the next 6 hours. 93 fish to 4.5# made it to the boat. Worms and Traps were the weapons of choice. Many, many fish were in that chunky 3# class, which made for a fun and memorable day.

I'm guessing that these fish were post spawn and already moving into their Summer pattern. They were actively feeding on Threadfin Shad and none of them had spawn.

After catching a few fish, I told my partner that we probably wouldn't catch any big ones here. We decided to stay anyways and catch numbers, as opposed to going inside and fishing for pre spawn hogs. While there were a few reports of big fish on the inside, we were VERY happy with our choice to stay where we were:-)

See you out there!!!

93?  Not too bad..  hehehe.  That's awesome.

that is great steve! i love stickmarsh and i wish more lakes in florida would adopt that approach of catch and release only. great day!

Very nice Day,  My bro and I had a 75 fish day a few months ago.  That was our best day by far.  Again great day on the marsh.

That was a great day, catching chunky 3's and 4's are pretty fun. 93 is something else.

I hope the fishing is as good when I get to Stick Marsh on the 15th!  I have a whole week to fish it so I hope I have one day with half as much success!
