Finally! My first jig fish!

I just got started in jig fishing, and walla, I got my first today. Pulled her out of slop. Not a biggy, but I was happy!

Thanks! Yeah, now I have confidence in jigs. Just have to get a jig rod now.

Good fish,  Never really had a knack for jig fishin down here in florida though, not enough cover in the areas I fish I guess.  I love the artistic background on your pic though    AWSOME.....

The lake I fish has a lot of weed matting in the summer months, so I can't wait to drop some jigs under them. Thanks for the comments!

man you better tie on a jig and give it a go. i catch lots of fish, big fish on jigs. if there are pads, jigs work. if there are rocks, jigs work. felled trees jigs work. i think you get the picture.

nice job. got my first jig fish last year and now it is one of the lures i have tied on 85% of the time. try them around docks this summer too.

x2, I remember 5 to 6 years ago fishing the drop shot for the first time and catching a bass on it.

Yeah, that has already happened. I am considering now not getting a swimbait setup, but buying a decent flipping stick.
