Me and a buddy of mine decided to go for a couple of hours this afternoon. I caught this monster after about 10 minutes. 7lbs 1oz. All my buddies thought it was an April fools joke lol.

Oh duh I forgot to say what I caught it on. Good old Senko!!! And do you know where the public boat ramp near the dam? If go out away from there on your right hand side it was the first cove you come up to.

John,

Is the free public ramp on the Dinwiddie side of the lake?

And yes, as the water gets warmer and they start to go to bed the shoreline from the public boat ramp along the Dinwiddie shoreline for a few miles is always a good place to fish.

Topwaters will work in the AM as the water gets warmer, too.

Great fish. Congrats.  You did good!

Let's plan a trip on Chesdin and also that "secret" pond. Do I need to call the guy again and get the permission slip and key?

Let me know.

Thanks for the comment jrhennecke. Hey Sam, yes it was on the Dinwiddie side. And yes we need to plan something when it gets warmer. I guess towards the end of April? Give me a ring sometime.

John
