Yes I think fishing on the Chick has been getting better over the last couple of years. We had a tournament and 17 won it. They fished the Chick all day. Me and my partner had 10 and we fished it all day as well. Isn't that the smell of bait tanks? Or maybe it's the smell of money escaping my wallet... Greentop is a great little place to visit and they do carry a lot of baits that you don't find at big box stores. If you are south of Richmond there is Dance's in Colonial Heights. Also a smaller shop but lots of baits that you normally can't find. Lots of local tackle to choose from as well as some of the harder to find Japanese baits. Oh, and super deals when they have them. Yes Dances is good as well. I go there alot because its so close to me. The people in there are also great!!

Yes Greentop is the place to go for some good knowledge. The staff there is always polite and it does not take long for someone to come up to you for help. Yes BPS is the bomb but whenever I go up there it will definetly be both places.

Its confirmed they open the doors today!!! My buddy says its totally awesome, 10 times better than the one in Hampton.

Hello, I actually used to work there as a Police Officer. There are several nice ponds to fish there. I have heard of plenty of citations coming out of there which does not surprise me because they are well taken care of by the base staff. Oh good one Sam, I forgot about Herring Creek. If you go there...travel about a 1/2 mile up and there are alot of docks, trees and duck blinds where I have pulled some nice ones. John

Hello, welcome to the forums. If you decide to fish the main river, there are alot of rock jetties near the big I295 bridge. I have alot success using crankbaits and grub worms. I also suggest going to the upper appomattox. Just be aware there are alot of mud flats in that area. Probably your best bet is going there when its high tide. If you need any other help pm me. John

Where abouts do you fish sandy creek? Actually I have never been to Sandy, a buddy of mine fishes alot and loves it there!!
