  1. The hooks that came with the baits totally suck, the nose slides off almost every cast. If you bought the 3.5 inch size I would use 3/0 or 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG Weighted Hook in a 1/16 oz like these..... http://www.***.com/descpage-GSEGW.html I caught all of mine fishing it like a spinnerbait and pausing it a couple of times, I noticed some of the strikes I got was when I did pause it. Hope that helps. John
  2. Hey do you have any that ya want to sell?? hehe
  3. Well I did manage to get some Basstrix Fat Minnows in, but they were not the Paddletail. I do have to admit the quality of Basstrix is amazing. The paint job is fantastic. Plus they eyes are undeneath instead of on top where they would easily fall off. I did have them fall off on the Poor Boys Baits. Cannot wait till the day I get a hold of the paddletail ones.
  4. Ok I am so frustrated about Basstrix and I am not paying 30-50 bucks for a pack on ebay. I will just wait till next year when it dies down some. I tried and tried to call the number that Bassmasters came out with no luck. For you guys that live in the Richmond, Va area... I was at Dances Sporting Goods in Colonial Heights where I came across these....... http://sfttackle.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=291&CFID=7658110&CFTOKEN=38950252 Yes they are a knock off and I know it doesnt have the hollow tube like Basstrix but I was like what the hell, I dont have anything to lose so I tried them. I tried the Threadfin shad color at Lake Harrison in Charles City, Va. First time fishing there. I caught a bass on the first cast. I ended up catching 2 bass and a pike in about an hour. Here is a picture of one of them, They were small but it was fun.
  5. I had the same problem around where I live, all the local places I go to including Bass Pro did not have any until I tried the last place, Dicks Sporting Goods. If there is one near you that is your best bet.
  6. Could not find a picture on how to rig a trailer hook correctly on a spinnerbait. Can someone send me the link if they find it? Thanks, John.
  7. For anyone living near Richmond I went to Dicks located near Chesterfield Town Center. They have fat ikas there and also they are currently 20% off.

I see alot of people using these and having good results. I have never used them in my life and wanted s some input? How do you rig, size, brand name, etc...
  10. Just ordered it, thanks for the info SimonSays.
  11. Yea that looks dumb as he**, what a joke, lol.
  12. I own this bag as well and I love it. If you have alot of plastic baits this bag would be a good choice. You can fit alot on top and there is a divider in it. I put my cocoons in the sunglass holder. Plus there is a holder for your pliers and knives and such for quick access. If you decide to get one they are actually on sale right now. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=44424&hvarTarget=search&hvarAID=&cmCat=10001261
  13. Yea I havent had any luck with them either.
  14. I thought about getting one as well, what color would be good?
  15. I don't think it does, when I go wacky style thats the only way I do it is with a O-ring. They also have tools out there where it is easier to put the ring on the worm.
  16. I use the Falcon Speedbags, in particular the Falcon FTO 1107 Dual Worm Bag like this http://www.***.com/storage.html I have a different bag for each type like all my senkos in one 4" and 5" then another with all my kreature and grub, etc. All colors I use alot are up front.
  17. Hey RWhusker when you do that you spike the tail correct?
  18. Watermelon and Pumpkin with Green or Red Flake.
  19. I fished it like a plastic worm, around lilly pads and got the biggest ones right off the cypress trees.
  20. I fished them for the first time this morning, Caught 3, 2 of them 2 lbs, 1 about a 1/2 lb. I used a 3/0 hook and no weight.
  21. Anyone try these? http://www.***.com/descpageSWMBSSTRXTUBBSSTRX-BTPTT.html They are almost impossible to find in stock, I have seen them on ebay but they have jacked the price up, go figure!!
  22. Thanks Sam I will try the finesse or trick worm rigged Texas style with a light weight over the grass. The thing about the broom handle seems very interesting. I will try that as well. Thanks again!!!
  23. Hey Sam. Its like this one. http://www.unclejosh.com/sizmiclure/modules/cart/products.php/nav_id/54/page/1/id/102/name/NEWSizmicPopNToad The one pond I have been fishing has alot of grass right on top, I mean alot!! Its almost impossible to fish in that area using Pop-R or buzzbaits. The topwater frogs are the only thing thats been working through the grass, unless you have any other suggestions.
  24. Anybody ever use these? How are you fishing them? Slow or fast? And what kind of hooks are you using? I messed with them the other day using a Zoom Horny Toad Hook 5/0 and I did catch one and missed a few others. Suggestions please would be great. Thanks.
