BPS soft tackle bags

Featured Replies

Does anyone have the BPS extreme qualifier 370 bag and can give any reviews of it?  How about the XPS stalker bag?  Thanks for any reviews.

Andy

I have the Wheeled Stalker bag, and I love it.  My kids (I mean my wife...) got it for me for father's day.

It can hold 4 370 boxes, has a ton of little pouches, a cell phone case, a sunglasses attached case, padded backpack straps, a cooler area that I just put small plano worm boxes in, and a luggage style arm to pull it on the ground behind you.  The wheels are skateboard sized wheels, but do fine.  It also has a rain hood in a tiny pouch to keep it dry.  I have a ton of tackle, and it fits a great variety of baits for me.  I would highly recommend it.  Only thing better to hold your tackle would be a boat.

I own this bag and it's money. Holds 5 compartments, plus one more if you wanna add one on top of those five before you zip. It has two side pockets, I use one for my fishing line and towels, the other for all my tools and such. It has gotten wet a couple times and if you have anything in there that you don't want wet if your fishing in the rain, it can create a mess (just like any other soft material). It did not shrink nor destroy the very good material though. I love the shoulder strap as it makes for easy handling if your shorefishing. It also has the optional handle to carry it an alternate way if your shoulder gets tired. There is a nice compartment in the front of the bag that has about 10-12 plastic ziplock bag type holders. I use this to store info such as regulations, citation sizes, boating rules, logs, etc. It is also a great place to store extra things that may not fit in your boxes (that don't have hooks). I love this bag, got it on sale at BPS for $22 at the beginning of the summer. I highly recommend this tackle box.

I have one and I thought I loved it...until it rained.

Great storage, holds everything I want/need and more.  But...

The 'water resistant' material doesn't do much, in my opinion.  In order to make sure your tackle can take a downpour or two, I'd recommend one of the following:

1) buy the Plano waterproof 3700 boxes

2) save a few more bucks and get the comparable Browning bag.  I believe this is 100% waterproof.

Chris, good choice as far as a bag.  I was gonna get the Browing book bag type tackle box but it was out of my price range that day as I only had 80 dollars to spend and the bait monkey was pulling my arm haha.  But yea, the Browning is much nicer and I wish I could have picked that up, but if your in a bind and need a quick fix, the BPS bag is definately worth 20-25 bucks by far.

I used my rain hood once, and it was fine, but it was a light rain...

I own this bag as well and I love it. If you have alot of plastic baits this bag would be a good choice. You can fit alot on top and there is a divider in it. I put my cocoons in the sunglass holder. Plus there is a holder for your pliers and knives and such for quick access. If you decide to get one they are actually on sale right now.

Have that bag and the Stalker, but not the wheeled one. I like them both but use the stalker if I am going on other peoples boats. For its size it holds a ton and you can always find somewhere out of the way to place it.The other bag is just to big for me to take as a co angler.I found out though even with the rain top on stuff inside still gets wet but not to bad. The stalker is on sale now too.
